after waiting months and months and months – with them only being available online and in stores in seattle, chicago and london – they’re finally in our starbucks! i no longer have to ask my friend to drive 3 hours each way to seattle before he comes to visit me!

i bummed a stick of EXTRA fruit sensation gum from a friend before a meeting today, it claimed to be longlasting… not quite. about an hour into chewing it, it started to deteriorate. it started to break apart, and then it became almost gritty. i finally found the opportunity to slyly spit it out, but not before swallowing some of it.

there was a macy’s coupon going around on the internet for a free pair of jockey panties but apparently it’s a fake, and so was the last one. however, last year macy’s was nice enough to honor it so were giving away free stuff… but obviously they can’t keep doing that, especially in these crappy times.

so we went to the mcdonald’s drive thru this morning… got a mcskillet, always delicious…. got an iced mocha, not so much… (my mother’s iced latte… “yuck, it’s so bitter”…)

i don’t know if that’s how they intended it to be (because seriously, how do they think they’ll be able to compete with starbucks?!… though i must say, we did think it looked good in the picture…)

they asked us if we wanted it flavored…. what the hell does that mean?!…. mocha, flavored?!… isn’t the chocolate-mocha THE flavor?!!!! starbucks doesn’t ask me if i want it flavored… (my husband said, “we should’ve said, ‘ya, the good one!!’”)

…. okay, my husband just opened his food… not what he ordered… maybe it’s just this location…. we’ll try again next week…

after note: if you let the ice melt and add some sugar (i made simple syrup) it gets a lot better!!
